Toward a future where no one has to walk...
I saw my first Segway yesterday. I was on the way to the grocery store and this guy was cruising down the sidewalk and turned right next to the car. I was suitably impressed. They don't look as awkward as I thought, from the pictures. Indeed, when he leaned forward after turning it all looked oddly graceful.
I wonder who is behind the early-adopter program. That is, who is pushing these things so damned much? Microsoft must have a stake in it because slate.com just hosted a week's worth of "Segways in Paris, oh la la".
